K9 Trial

The first weekend in November the Alameda County Sheriff;s Office hosted the End of the Year K9 Trial at the Training Center in Dublin. This was the first trial they have hosted and the K9 Association had a large part in this.

Bryan and Rex had never competed in a trial before, so this was a first for them. The dogs and handlers competed in agility, area searches, protection and obedience. It was great time to be out there all weekend both to help and watch the trial. I see the warm and cuddly Rex that hangs out in the house, so it was interesting to see the "work" Rex in action.

Bryan and Rex getting ready for the area search.....Rex had 90 seconds to find the "bad guy" hiding in one of five cars......he did it!

Rex found him!
Competitor #22.......I think I recognize him
Waiting patiently for his turn in the Obedience section
Bryan and Rex ready to go
Rex did great in the Obedience section of the Trial
Rex showing off in the Agility Course
He's got jumps!

Off to get the bad guy!

Halloween.....I know I am late

It is the last day in November so now is probably the best time to post about Halloween, right?

Bryan was working again this year on Halloween but that did not stop us from the fun on Halloween. Tinkerbell and the Skeleton were determined to do some trick or treating. Believe it or not in the 6 years that we have lived in this neighborhood, we have never gone around here. We traveled about a block down the street to our friends house where we met up with a few other families from the "hood". The kids ate pizza and ran around playing waiting for it to get dark.

The whole gang headed out with 5 adults and 8 kids in tow. The kids all had a blast and came home with way more candy then we ever needed. It was so nice to stay in Lourance Ranch and see so many of the neighbor kids out and about.

Tinker Bell ready to fly~

Gotta love the faces on them
Me and the kids ready to head out.

The kids were having way to much fun. They were so cute!
Dani got tired so we hitched a ride in Jax's stroller and Gavin hitched a ride for awhile.
